District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Farooq Ahmad Shah, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) R K Jaala and various other officials visited the sets of Yash Raj films that are busy shooting for their upcoming movie at Chandanwari, Pahalgam.
As a goodwill gesture to the superstar of bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and the ace director/producer of Indian film industry, Yash Chopra, DDC and his team presented Kashmiri Shawls and a Copper Samovar as mementos to the crew.
While interacting with the director, DDC Anantnag urged him to visit the valley so that the tourism industry sees a revival in valley.
“It is a welcome move for the tourism industry of valley. We hope to see more crews and teams visiting Kashmir so that the beauty of Valley is explored to its fullest. Briefing the stars about the cultural importance of the valley, DDC also promised the crew of all possible help in present as well in future,” handout reads.
Yash Raj has also appreciated Farooq Shah, the former director tourism for his efforts: “We are glad to shoot at such a beautiful place where people so are warm and friendly. We hope of coming back to this beautiful place and do more of the shootings.”
Handout also mentions that Shahrukh Khan was humbled at the gesture of the administration and the people of valley. As a token of love King Khan wore the shawl presented to him by DDC and had a photo shoot with the DDC and his team.
